Beginning of Summer

We had to squeeze as much summer into the June because Tim was leaving to China for 8 weeks. Here in Canada summer really only lasts 8 weeks.
We played a few rounds of golf.
I managed to talk Tim into planting a garden. It was a lot of work to get rid of the weeds and work in some fertilizer aka cow manure!

Made a quick trip to Edmonton to spend sometime with the Dudley's and Tannis before the wedding and before the new niece came.
Happy Birthday Tannis! She was my first bestir and partner in crime. Sure do love her and am excited for a wedding.
All birthdays come with skor cake!
No words to describe this kid!
We enjoyed lots of movie nights with treats from 7-11.

On one of the last weekends before Tim left, we came home from church to find our basement suite flooding. It was truly crushing. Our upstairs neighbours are very frustrating. We asked them to stop using the water and then heard the toilet flush. The realty company we rent from is also not very good. They were unable to find people to come clean up so Tim and I just did. On the bright side, they paid us $300 for our labour. The floor in our basement is uneven so all the water pooled in the kitchen. We only through away a few rugs and christmas tree. The bad news is that after Tim left I discovered mould. To say the least, Tim will never live this down!
Here is the evidence.

The Wright's felt bad for us so they fed us crab that night and it was delicious. I am a small town country girl but marrying into an Asian family has been an interesting experience. Food is definitely not what I am used to.

Tim also made sure to spend a lot of time with Wrigley so he wouldn't forget him.
