Hunting Weekend

Hunting season is borderline as magical as Christmas for Timmy. He took a couple days off work and we were able to go to Soab. The weather was fabulous and we were able to spend lots of time outside. Tim showed Jack how to shoot a gun.
Timmy was finally able put last years Christmas present of full camo to good use.
While Tim was hunting Jack and I spent time with the horses, walking to Grandma Verla's, quading and loving the kitty. Sunny November's are truly a treat.

We also spent lots of time visiting. We met up with Kennedy and her two crazy boys. We also went to Coaldale to meet baby Rhett, Jenn and Jordan's baby. He is so sweet and so chunky!

During the two days of hunting, Tim was able to bring home two deer and a few quail and pheasant.
Learning how to butcher. That table is a political sign. We will add it to the list of 101 uses for old political signs!! Anybody have any good venison recipes? I have a lot in the deep freeze!
Tanner taught Tim how to cook the birds and we had a little feast.
Tim loved hunting for birds with Tanner's dog Scruffy. Maybe one day we will get another dog but for now we will just enjoy Scruffy. Even Jack got to go out hunting for an afternoon.
Thanks mom for putting up with the crazy hunters. We sure had fun and Jack thinks you are one of the greatest!
This kid is seriously my favourite. He has us completely wrapped around his finger. On the way home he got his very own slurpee.
