Beebaw

We recently took an unexpected trip to Utah because Tim's grandpa, who we lovingly refer to as Beebaw, became sick and ended up passing away. We got the news, late on a Tuesday night, that Beebaw was in the hospital and after family prayer we hoped for the best. I went to work Wednesday night and called Tim to check in and got the news that we would be leaving Thursday at noon for Utah. We made it partway on Thursday and slept over night in Helena (it was different travelling with the Wright' seeing as you got to sleep in a hotel and not a car!! And stopped for meals and didn't have the mandatory food box) We had some sweet walkie talkies that kept us occupied.
Upon arrival we went to the hospital to meet up with the family and see Beebaw. Unfortunately things were not good and we stopped life support and were able to take him home for a few hours. It was fantastic to spend time with Wright's and here the stories about growing up. My personal favourites include Beebaw bashing the heads together like all good parents do and fishing. Beebaw was is an amazing man. I am eternally grateful to him and Grammie for helping in raising my Timmy. Tim basically lived at his grandparents house while his Dad was finishing school. I felt like I got to know a whole new side of Timmy as we looked through photo albums and drove past places that he went to as a child. Timmy and Dede were Grammies little entourage. They went everywhere and did everything with her and if they were good, they could get a toy. Timmy was spoiled rotten by his grandparents!
Beebaw was a WWII vet and flew blimps!
The Brothers from left to right: Tracy, Brian, Newell, Gordon, David
yes, there are only 5 boys in this family
The cousins
When Timmy and Dede were little they would play a passing interception game with their Uncle Brian. They are reliving the glory days only things don't work as wel as they used to.
Because we were in the land of the Utah Jazz Timmy spent lots of time buying merchandise. Here he is spending an hour going through basketball cards.
The Wright's showed us amazing hospitality! We slept at Gordon's for most of the time but we had to spend on night at Brian and Shauna's and this is where we slept. I of course slept in spiderman! It was also great to see their kids. They are very energetic! I can't wait to see them again on July 4.
We then did a quick 36hour stop in Twin to see the Scow's and conquered the world... if you were wondering!
Mason turned 1!! But don't let this picture fool you because Cohen opened all of Mason's presents for him. What a little helper he is...
And went tubing! Magic Mountain was well worth the trip!
We also got pedicures and played lots of games and didn't sleep a whole lot! And did a random grocery shopping trip so that Timmy and Denton could play playstation.

Family is amazing and I hope I did this post justice cuz the Wright's are soooo good to Timmy and me. I am so glad I had the chance to meet Beebaw and am grateful for his testimony and how he faithfully taught it to his entire family!
