Timmy turns 30!!

Timmy requested to keep the day low key and for once I actually listened to him. On birthday morning we woke up, ate pancakes and opened presents. Tim got a new board game called Caverna. It looks complicated but I am excited to learn!
After work we went out for supper with the Wright's. Tim picked Chiantis. The food was delicious and Timmy got spoiled even more!

After supper we went back to the Wright's and had banana cream pie instead of cake.

I am pretty lucky to have Timmy in my life. He works so hard in all aspects of his life. I am pretty proud at how fast he moved up in the bank. A bonus to be becoming a banker is that he manages our money and does a very good job at it.
Tim is so patient with Jack and loves to play with him. Jack definitely knows who to go for for treats.
Happy Birthday Timmy! I hope this new decade treats you well!! 30 looks good on you!

The rest of February

Grocery shopping with Jack is a full on exercise. He is very busy and curious. The other day while in Walmart he made it to the other side of the isle while my back was turned and hid in-between boxes. I almost had a heart attack.

I am really trying to get back in to shape but Jack makes it tricky!

Most days in February were super gorgeous so we spent lots of time out walking. We even went back to the old dog park!

Practicing using chopsticks!
This kid climbs and is into EVERYTHING! He loves to play in the pantry and bring me things he finds.

I just can't get enough of this little monster.
Jack loves to read books. Most days after his nap we snuggle in the rocking chair and he brings me different books to read. At bedtime one night he got to stay up a little later because he brought Tim a book and it melted his heart a little bit.
Tim hid to eat some ice cream so he wouldn't have to share with Jack.
I do love being back at work but it is really hard to walk out the door and leave the Jack man behind. I am in YW's right now so I am putting in a big effort to be at church on Sundays. It has actually been a blessing to take Sundays as a break and a time to relax. Jack can't function with out a nap so we usually spend time rocking in the mother's lounge. Work causes the weeks to get long and tiring so I really enjoy these moments where we just get to sit.

Patient Zero

At the beginning of February Jack got the flu and it was awful. The carpets required cleaning and panda went on his first trip through the washing machine.

At the end of the week we had Jack finally feeling better again so we went ahead with a ski trip we had planned. The Dudley's came the night before and we ate treats and played games. It is always so fun when the cousins come! Unfortunately that night Tim and I fell ill with what Jack had. After both throwing up that night we powered through and did some skiing.

My mom and Paul met us at the hill and although it was fun Tim and I were a little too sick. It was super windy and by lunch most of the hill was closed. Paul managed to get us our money back so it was really a win!
Unfortunately after coming in contact with Jack the Dudley's fell ill. This is not the first time Jack has shared germs others which is why he has lovingly be named patient zero! He seems to bring everything home from day home! Oh well hopefully his immunity turns the corner soon!

Valentines Day

Having a kid makes holidays a little more fun. We made valentines for all of our family. Jack wasn't too sure about the paint on his hands and feet. Even Wrigley made one and he definitely wasn't a fan.

Finally the valentines were addresseed and were ready for the mailbox! A day or two late but I am happy to say they arrived!
All dressed up for church on Valentines Day.

Zoo Zoo Zoo

Jack went to the Zoo for the first time and loved it!. It was great to get out and a bonus that the weather was fabulous.
All snuggled in and ready to go with the super cute fox blanket made by Erin!
First up was the penguins. They are easily my favourite. Jack was a fan because they are so close!
The hippos were so cool and crazy! They played right in front of us. Jack thought it was pretty cool until they crashed, then there were a few tears shed.

So grateful to have such wonderful friends! I look forward to many more adventures. Best part is that we still made it home for an afternoon nap. That is what I call winning!

Farewell to Hayden and Tannis

At the end of January Jack and I headed south for some fun before everybody left. Upon arrival Erin and I put the kids to bed and then went out to the Magrath vs. Raymond basketball game. It was fun to relive the good old days and it was actually pretty close.

Cousins working hard and making pancakes.

The sisters didn't believe I could do a headstand. I am proud to say I proved them wrong! I didn't need any support. I am still working on my core. Rebuilding abs after a baby is no joke!

On Sunday we went and listened to Hayden give a fabulous talk. He is leaving on a mission to Philippines. I still can't believe he is old enough to serve a mission. He will forever be the little kid that ran away on me while I was babysitting. Have fun Hayden! I know you are ready and will be fabulous!

Monday meant that it was time to say goodbye to Tanny! I seriously love her so much! She is easily the favourite Aunt because having no kids of your own means you are always available and more fun! Growing up we were always the little girls and did so much together. Played soccer, played basketball, road trips and honestly I could go on and on! She is headed to Spain for 6 months! I am incredibly jealous of this adventure. The good news is that FaceTime makes the distance a little closer. Post lots of pictures and don't screen my calls! Love you Tanny and can hardly wait til you come home!
Some might think I am crazy to frequently travel with Jack but most of the time he is a dream. A snow bob and bag of chips is always worth the drive.
