Another Welling Extravaganza

Due to the impending Scow move to Alaska, Danielle felt that we all needed to get together one more time. I am not complaining because we had beautiful sunshine and as always action packed fun. To start the fun off we went on a picnic to Henderson Lake.
Erin taught Cohen about crawfish so Cohen waded/swam along the edge. Cohen even found a dead fish which he proudly held over his head... Right before we left Cohen managed to catch one and was so proud of himself.

Mom and Paul also bought a boat!! The water was chilly but it was so fun to be out on the water. The kids had a blast tubing until they leaned a little too far forward and went in the lake. Cohen and Mason were stars at knee boarding. When Mason fell he wouldn't let go of the rope. It was amazing how long he held on. I of course couldn't be out done by a 4 and 6 year old so I did a little knee boarding and wowed them by doing a 360. No big deal but I am pretty cool. I also went for a quick wakeboard just to prove I could still get up.

Garth Brooks/Bruce Gender had kitties and they were definitely a hit! They were truly loved until it hurt. Scar might have tried burying one in the sand. Cohen was very gentle and was always checking on them .
Even Tannis found her inner love for kitties...

Magrath buy and sell is the best! Many comments provide fabulous entertainment but I was also able to find an exersaucer to borrow. It was great to have because I could leave Jack there with out fearing for his life.
My mother bought a Waterton parks pass so we were able to enjoy an afternoon there. We hiked Blakiston Falls but our crew was a little weak. Jack slept most of the way so he won the best hiker award.

Good thing I own a selfie stick!

The hikers were bribed with ice cream! Yay for the big scoop.

We also took turns at Barb's house getting our hair done and eye brows waxed. My hair was crazy long, dead and falling out like crazy. I even had a few grey hairs! Eeeeek! So i cut a large portion off and dyed it a little bit darker. I am so in love with my new cut. It will be so much cooler for summer.

Cousins are the best. Also Q-tip sustained a super awesome black eye.
Scar was just always helping Jack with his soother.
We hit up the play place at McDonald's and they had NO DIET COKE. This is what my nightmares look like.

Paul made a slip and slide! It was a very fun way to beat the heat. He plans to eventually have it go into the canal. Hopefully it takes a few years for him to get to that project and then the kids will be the perfect age.

We even managed to go shopping at the mall. I found a toonie in one of the little rides so I let them ALL go on one together. So fun!
Classic cousin picture on the couch.
We also made it a priority to get snow bobs nightly after the kids went to bed. I love hanging out with my family. I am sad the Scow's are moving so far away but I am already looking forward to camping in August!

5 months

Jack is turning into a little human more and more every month. 5 months has brought lots of belly laughs and smiles. He really knows who I am and smiles, kicks and laughs when I come get him out of his room post nap. I am starting to see a bit of a schedule emerge which is nice. He isn't quite sleeping through the night but we are getting close. He usually eats at 10:00 pm and 4:00 ish am. Jack also has the amazing new skill of rolling! He is a little champ. He is currently going tummy to back.
Jack LOVES the excersaucer. He drools like a maniac while in it. He is most interested in the rolly wheel.
This little monkey also found his toes this month!
We went to stars and strollers. We went and watched Pitch Perfect 2 (again). I laughed my face off. It is nice because they don't make it too dark or too loud and everyone else has a baby their so it is ok if there are a few tears.
This little chunk went for another check-up and weighed in at 16 lbs! His eye is still goobery so we are putting in some antibiotics. I really hope things clear up and that tear duct will start working.
I am not ready to feed Jack but nobody else seems to agree with me. Tim fed him a fudgsicle. Jack had lots of smiles over the treat but was not happy the next day.
When we were down south I left Jack with Tannis for a second. When I returned she was helping him try out some yogurt. Aunties are just the greatest...
Other highlights of the month included more swimming and lots of walks to the dog park! I love all of the sunshine I have been able to partake in while being on maternity.
