December Business

My Grandma was in Calgary for a few days so she came out to Airdrie for a visit. It was fun to spend time with her and visit. Added bonus was that we went out for lunch. It was a morning well spent.

This kid never stops making me laugh. He is a trial to parent but I love his personality and hope he never loses his spunk. I bought those brown shoes off Varage Sale for $5!! I am so addicted to Varage Sale and was proud to have scored another good deal. Jack also thought they were fabulous. He refused to take them off and wore them to bed. The good news was that I was able to slide them off in the middle of the night.
I sometimes times try to be a good mom. He dropped pom poms through toilet paper tubes. It eventually turned into him throwing pom poms everywhere.
Teaching this kid to earn his keep!
Naturally much of December was spent doing Christmas things. Jack, Wrigley and I braved the cold and went to the Santa Clause parade. It was chilly but fun to be outside.
The annual cookie exchange was a hit. This was unfortunately the only photo I got. A bunch of girls from work get together and eat as much food as we can and then exchange cookies. It is always a fun time. Jack was nervous in the beginning but slowly him and Landon were destructive buddies!
Living by the train is fabulous. Jack is obsessed with the choo choo and honestly we hardly hear it. The CP rail holiday train comes through with music and is all lit up. We braved the cold briefly but it was excessively cold so we spent most of the time watching it from the comfort of our home.
Tim's annual work Christmas party was a blast. We had supper and then went bowling. It was Jack's first time and he thought it was the greatest. We avoided getting fingers smashed, ate and visited and just had so much fun. Tim works with really awesome people who are so kind and even let Jack bowl some of their turns.
The adults did an exchange and one person brought stockings for the kids. It was so sweet and fun to see the kids excitement.
The best news is that Tim got a promotion!! He will now be working as a Small Business Advisor. He will work three days in Cochrane and two days in Olds. He is nervous about this change but really looking forward to more learning and meeting more people. We are very grateful for how things have worked out with TD. The economy has been slow as oil has been down. We feel so blessed to have things going right when so many people have been struggling and getting laid off from jobs.

Bedtime is always an experience. He always takes a couple toys with him (usually choo choo's) and Peter and Panda are mandatory. It makes carrying him up the stairs quite the task!
Jack has a major obsession with kitties. Whenever he sees toilet paper he stops, pulls it out and fan girls. He can stay totally happy in an isle with just kitty toilet paper. He will say, "Awwwe! Kitty! Meow!" Super cute but if you don't have the time avoiding the toilet paper isle is a must.
