Because Jack could climb the lattice back fence, the lattice was unsightly and we wanted a gate, we spent July 1st weekend building a gate and fence. Jack was super interested in what was going on. Thankfully the Wright's were able to come and provide real help.
On July 1st we went to the Airdrie parade. Our house is the perfect location because it is only a 10 minute walk to Main St. The sun was shining and the parade was the perfect length. Jack sat, clapped and danced. He was a fan of the parade.

After the parade we went home and enjoyed nap time. That evening we had friends come over a hot dog roast. Naturally the weather became overcast and rainy so we cooked some hot dogs on the BBQ and moved the party inside. This year Canada turns 150 years old!! I am grateful for this beautiful country and all the freedoms I enjoy.
