My Best Friends Wedding

At the end of July we went down to Southern Alberta for Leah and Aaron's wedding. Jack was so excited when we pulled up to my Mom and Paul's house but was crushed when there were no cousins to greet him. He got over this pretty quick when he found the kitties. We had lots of fun going for quad rides, petting horses, watering the plants and just being outside.
Looking for kitties.

So happy for these two. Leah really did find her perfect match. I am so impressed by her goodness. She was such a great example growing up. Most of my childhood memories include her. It is hard to believe we have grown up and no longer are making forts and sending kitties down the slide.
It was such a fun weekend. After the reception we got together at the Olsen's house and played games. After the wedding we went to Paige's house. Hanging out with these girls brought me right back to my childhood. I love these girls so much. It is crazy how no matter how much times passes we go right back to where we left off. I really do wish we saw more of each other.

While we were at the wedding my Grandma Wilde watched Jack. He was in heaven as Mark has brought cats to the house. One of the kitties was so docile and let Jack haul him everywhere.

Jack thought Mark was so cool and followed him everywhere. Here they are taking apart a wasps nest. Super cool but also super gross.
Jack was so excited to wake up every morning that by the time church rolled around he was exhausted.
We headed out to Writing on Stone to check it out and make sure it would be a good spot for the YM to camp. The best made plans never seem to work out. I had planned a picnic afternoon playing in the hoodoos and on the banks of the Milk River. Soab enjoyed an insane heat wave for most of the summer. It was roughly 36 degrees Celsius in the hoodoos. We were sweating as soon as we got out of the car. We walked into the hoodoos and played for a very short while but it was far too hot to safely play out there.
31 weeks pregnant.
We tried to switch gears and headed over to the river. Unfortunately that didn't work either as we had brought Wrigley and no dogs were allowed on the beach. I took Jack to check it out quick and cool off. I just had to settle with putting it on my list for next year. I have such fond memories of that place so it really was kind of a crushing blow to have it not work out.
We headed home and managed to have a little fun there. Jack has become an excellent shot with the squirt gun. He had Tim cornered in the yard so Tim picked him up and dipped his head in the water table. I love how long the summer days are.
