HBD Canada

This year we spent Canada day in Soab. It was jam packed and super fun. We started the celebrations with the traditional parade. Jack thought it was fabulous and danced while the floats passed.

Quinn, Scarlett, Mason and Cohen rode in the chariot with Grandpa Kevin. The boys were crazy and jumped out to collect any candy that was missed throughout the route. Good thing Raymond is so safe.
After we went back to my Mom's house and had a bbq. Grandpa Evans came for a visit. I should have woken Jack up for the picture but he had been refusing sleep and I was exhausted from him!
We then joined our Wilde cousins and played in the family softball tourney. We were horrible but it was so much fun. It was crazy how much time has passed but yet nothing has changed and lots of laughs were shared reminiscing and just enjoying being together.

The next day we woke up and ran the 10k. It is something that has been on the list for a long time and I am pumped to finally cross it off! I ran it in 1 hour and 4 minutes! I beat Tim (largely due to a rolled ankle he sustained during softball but a win is a win)!

This crew ran the 5k! Thanks Mom and Paul for watching Jack. Pushing the stroller would have really slowed me down.
Jack and Ollie continue to have a love/hate relationship. Ollie was not happy about being left by his mother. He screamed and punched Jack and Jack just sat and screamed. Hopefully better luck next year.
After running we played more softball and then took the boat out for a quick spin. Mom was pretty anxious and the kids were hilarious on the tube. Mason was a little anxious at first he kept trying to Paul to go slower but any slower and the boat literally wouldn't have been in gear any more.
Soab is quite pretty I guess.

On Sunday we slowed it down and went out and visited Dad. This September will mark 15 years. At times it feels like forever and other moments it still feels like just yesterday.

Jack also got to visit his name sake.
July 1st weekend was well spent. Go Canada!
